Telit UC864 UMTS / HSDPA Module for M2M Applications
The compact UC864 UMTS / HSDPA module is ideally suited for industrial data transmission applications where high data rates are necessary.
The UC864-E is UMTS / HSDPA module which due to the unified form factor family was designed to be fully compatible with Telit's GSM/GPRS and CDMA products (GC864, CC864). This enables integrators and developers to design their applications once and market them then worldwide. Depending on the standard and data volume the product which is suited best for the application can be mounted then in the factory.
The UC864-E has been developped as a Single-Band 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA to fulfil the needs in Europe and to keep the costs as low as possible. For applications which should be used worldwide or which are mobile there is a Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA module available with the UC864-G (see below).
With its ultra-compact design and the extended operating temperature range the UC864 is the perfect platform for M2M applications and mobile data devices which need a high data transmission rate such as video streaming. Due to the boad-to-board connector the module can be ordered and mounted in order-related quantities.
The UC864-G is the Tri-Band UMTS / HSDPA and Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE version for the worldwide or mobile use of products using UMTS / HSDPA / EDGE or GPRS as standard for the transmission of data. As well as the UC864-E it is also compatible to the GPRS / CDMA products (GC864, CC864). Nevertheless the shape of the UC864-G is a little longer and therefore it needs some more space on the pcb.
