GT864-PY - Quadband GSM / GPRS Terminal / Modem
The compact and programmable Quad Band GSM/GPRS Terminal GT864-PY is ideally suited for industrial data transmission applications in the M2M sector.
The GT864-PY Terminal is a plug&play modem respectively cellular terminal for wireless M2M applications and is based on the GE864-PY Quad Band module from Telit. The GT864-PY Terminal is offering an integrated SIM card holder, standard connectors and 3 status LEDs.
In connection with the PYTHON interpreter you can programme your own application and store it on the GT864-PY Terminal and thus minimise the need for extra components. The numerous inputs and outputs provide for additional functions and features to make your M2M solution innovative and cost efficient. The PYTHON interpreter allows you to develop your own software application, run it on the GT864-PY Terminal and reduce R&D resources, time to market and the total costs of the solution.
By plugging the RS232 connector
directly into an application or computer the GT864-PY Terminal becomes ready to use as a wireless modem. The
modem can send and receive data by GPRS, CSD,
SMS, and can be used as telemetry device due to the different inputs and outputs (via the USB interface). With an integrated TCP IP stack, the enhanced
temperature range and the wide supply voltage range the GT864-PY Terminal is the ideal product for many professional industrial applications. The fields of application are manifold and range from the transmission of alarms via GSM, retrieval of data from remote sites like weather stations or wind wheels, to monitoring of vending machines and transmission of payment actions via GPRS. Briefly you can say that everywhere where is no fixed telephone line available or too expensive our GSM/GPRS terminals come into place for all sorts of data transmission tasks from the field of telemetry (vending, monitoring
and control, security/alarms and fleet management).
