Telit GE865 GSM/GPRS data modul as BGA modem for M2M applications which require smallest size!
The extremely compact Quad Band Telit GE865 GSM/GPRS module with BGA technology is ideally suited for industrial data transmission applications requiring minimum size, flat design and cost optimisation.
With its measurements of only 22 x 22 x 3 mm the GE865 is the smallest GSM/GPRS BGA module in the market. This allows to enter now application segments like PDAs etc. for which the previous modules have just been too big.
The GE865 is a Quad Band GPRS Modul (Class 10)
offering among others an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack and a serial multiplexer to extend the functionality of the application at no additional cost.
The GE865-PY offers the possibility to run the customer's PYTHON application inside the module. A wide range of I/Os and the extended operating temperature range are only some of the highlights of the GE865.
All Telit modules support the Over-the-Air firmware update via GPRS. Especially for applications which are installed around the world this is a very big advantage as in case of a necessary firmware update it is not necessary to collect the devices first or to do the update on-site. For further information regarding the Premium FOTA Management please visit our Download-Area. Telit is using a technology for the update which has been proven in the mobile handset market for millions of cellular telephones. During the update only a delta file, representing the difference between the old and the new firmware version, will be transmitted.
