Telit GE865 GSM/GPRS data module as BGA modem for M2M applications which require smallest size!
The extremely compact Quad Band Telit GE865 GSM/GPRS module with BGA technology is ideally suited for industrial data transmission applications requiring minimum size, flat design and cost optimisation.
With the GE865 product family Telit introduces the smallest GSM/GPRS Ball-Grid-Array (BGA) modules in the market. This module is dedicated for applications from the field of telemetry and telematics, for data transmission terminals, remote control or remote surveillance.
Due to the extremely small size and the extended operating temperature range the GE865 is the perfect solution for M2M applications and mobile data terminals with medium to high volumes with crucial requirements regarding size and height. Thanks to the BGA technology connectors are eliminated and solution cost is significantly reduced compared to conventional mounting.
The GE865-PY is offering the possibility to host customer application scripts and making the device thus one of the smallest and compact platforms for M2M solutions. In many cases an external controller can be saved. State-of-the-art IIC interfaces provide connectivity to external peripherals such as sensors and displays.
